Passed away peacefully at Bupa Aged Care, Mildura on September 9, 2018, aged 81 years.
Loved and loving husband of Julie, much loved father and father in law in law of Malcolm & Kaylene, Murray & Rae, and Ian (dec).
Adored Pop of Callum, Lachlan, Christopher & Clare.
Funeral NoticeFamily and friends of the late Mr Ivan James Baker are respectfully informed that his funeral service will be conducted at the Chapel of North West Funerals, Deakin Avenue, Mildura, on Monday September 17, 2018, at 1.30pm.
At the conclusion of the service the cortege will proceed to the Murray Pines Lawn Cemetery. (Deakin Avenue).
Please no flowers by request.

Ivan was manager of Shillidays and my first Boss. From the beginning it was obvious Ivan loved a good party. I have fond memories of shillidays farewell parties. Certainly the best punch I ever had.

After I left Shillidays I had a cake decorating business. I remember decorating a giant Easter egg cake for Ivan to surprise his wife at a surprise birthday party.
Ivan was born to hospitality. He was always the best host whenever I went to the cottonwood. Many Mildura groups and businesses held thier little conferences and workshops in his glass room. A friendly smile An engaging conversation and the perfect host what a great life you lived Ivan. My condolences to the family.As a young sales rep I called on Shillidays every 8 weeks. It is where I met Ivan and developed a rapport with him and his friendly, jovial personality. I also looked him up each time I visited the Gold Coast many years later. So sorry to read he has passed on and taken his charm and personality to heaven. Such a lovely person.
