Born on March 9, 1929. Passed away May 23, 2022.

With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Glad at Wentworth Hospital, aged 93 years. Much loved wife of John (dec). Treasured Mother and mother-in law of Janet and David; Russell (dec) and Margie; Bronwyn and Cliff. Adored Grandma of 11 and Ma of 24, and one on the way.

Family and friends of Glad are respectfully informed that her funeral service will be held at the Uniting Church, Short Street, Wentworth, on Thursday 2nd June, 2022 commencing at 10.30 am. Following the service the cortege will proceed to Wentworth Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, if preferred, donations to the Royal Flying Doctors would be appreciated. Envelopes available at service.

  1. So privileged to have had such a beautiful mum who showered me with nothing but unconditional love, care and support for all of my 57 years.

    Your legacy will live on as we now try to emulate the love, kindness, patience and humility you displayed to everyone who was fortunate enough to have crossed your path.

    Rest peacefully now mum, with your beautiful Saviour, and I look forward with joy to the day when we will see you again.

    I just want to let you know you mean the whole world to me. Only a heart as dear as yours would give so much love to me I will miss your arms around me your a special kind of love Grandma.
    If flowers grow in heaven,
    Lord, then pick a bunch for me.
    Then place them in my grandmother’s arms
    and tell her they’re from me.

    Tell her that I love and miss her
    and when she turns to smile,
    place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile.
