  11. Gordon fought for what he believed in and what was right for the Mildura Community. One such effort was to stop the Old Aerodrome Ovals from being split in two by an extension to Dyar Avenue. The road was to facilitate access to a proposed subdivision. He knew how to influence the right people so that they also did what was right. Not only did he stop the road, but he achieved rezoning of the parcel of land from road reserve to recreation reserve.
My Mother Pamela was also very fond of Gordon, and loved the conversations they had during her haircuts.

  13. A lovely man and a great hairdresser. Gordon looked after the hair cutting of our family for 4 generations. Always a gentleman and up for a chat. A true family man, always happy to share excitement over each clients upcoming events and made special occasion hair dos that extra special with gold level treatment and service treating his guests to the next level. My thoughts and condolences to the greater Searle family, a lovely man who will be greatly missed in the community.
