Watch Harry's funeral service here.My beautiful dad,
I am who I am today partly because of you and will always be who I am partly because of you. Thank You.
How lucky I am to have had someone like you to instil all the values and morals I have. Thank You.You were loving, kind, jovial, warm, wonderful and very generous in spirit and hospitality. Such a good and honest person. I always said you were a classic, so unique with a fantastic personality who welcomed family and friends with open arms. I loved your laugh. You were smart and well read and always enjoyed sharing the world news usually straight from the Neos Kosmos.
Your courage and strength to leave Greece and arrive into a new country to start a new life is to be applauded and I am so grateful you did.
You were such a good husband to mum, loving, helpful and supportive, Thank You.
You were such a great father who taught me the importance of working hard and smart. Thank You.I loved your zest for life and love of socialising to think you were still leading a Greek dance at the age of 91, maybe I got my Greek dance moves from you. You were a natural in the garden, producing such delicious fruit and vegetables and I admired how you loved to share your produce with family and friends and the joy it gave you.
Even in your last few years living with dementia your eyes were always smiling and the essence of you still shined through. I am fortunate and privileged to have had a beautiful role model, your generous spirit will continue to live on within the wonderful legacy you have left behind.
I feel blessed I got to say goodbye to you in your final moments.
Rest in peace.
I will miss dearly you and always love you.

August 7, 2021To my dear loving husband Aresto, “Harry”.
Thank you for a good life together of 66 years. We had great times with happiness and lots of laughter, we also had hard times which we worked through together. You were always with me in sickness and in good health. We worked very hard together to build a good life for our family, as they say “they were the good old days”.
You were a loving husband and I’m grateful of the life we built. I’m so proud of our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
You were respectful of me and others, generous, dedicated, loyal, funny, smart, well-groomed, a true gentleman and at sometimes stubborn. A man of routine who liked the home, yard and garden to always be well kept and I liked that to. You always loved my cooking which made it easy for me and I was happy with that.
We worked hard in our younger years and still were able to enjoy our life, socialising with our friends and family; going to Greek dances, the pictures & drive in, going to and having name day celebrations visiting, going on trips and much more. We have always been lucky and surrounded by great neighbours. You loved to catch up with your friends at the Greek club playing cards and having a laugh over a coffee. I am proud that we helped set up the Greek Seniors club which us local Greek Seniors can go and enjoy today. You were well respected and had a great relationships’ with your family and friends. With your family in Greece you enjoyed going back there and seeing everyone. I enjoyed our later years when we lived in Mildura
In the past few years while you had dementia you still knew me and would always look me in the eyes lovingly and give me a kiss, that meant a lot.
You passed away peacefully and quickly, I’m so grateful I was by your side.
Rest in Peace
Love always Lily. xo

August 8, 2021Dear Uncle Harry,
August 8, 2021
Your home, alongside with aunt Lily, was always open to receive visitors from Melbourne. The memories of staying at your home for the Christmas holidays will always remain with me. The days of running through the grape vines at Morpung Ave, Irymple, dealing with an aggressive goat (or two) and the 2/3/4 mean looking German Shepard dogs that always stayed with you will be my memories of you and your farming life. Thank you for all your hospitality, conversations (which felt at times like lectures) and thoughtful kindness. May you RIP.
Condolences to aunt Lily and family.
With love from your niece & nephew, Margaret Papalois & Jasminder Singh, and from your loving sister-in-law, Heather Papalois. xxxDearest Harry,
My family and l had the wonderful privilege of being great friends with you and your family for 56 plus years. l always remember being at your home, growing up with Maria, Costa and George, and Maria and l have been life long friends ever since. We also became Koumabri which was very special.
You welcomed us with your hospitality and big smile and our families have shared a lifetime of memories together. Your dance moves were the best at a regular greek dances.
You were a strong man and worked very hard, and you were always generous and of a kind nature. You made me laugh with your stories, your great advise on growing up and your wisdom on life.

August 10, 2021Dear Harry, Thankyou for always making me feel so special, whenever I would visit, like the Queen had just popped in! I have a feeling that’s how EVERYONE felt, because you were a man who thrived on good conversation, and a good laugh! What I will remember most, is how much you adored Lily! You gave her credit for everything that was good in your life, which I used to think was so beautiful! You were grateful for all your blessings, which made you so contagious to be around! I remember you were so proud of Maria and I, when we used to go picking grapes at Tankards. You loved that we were developing a great work ethic. Well, I will have to confess now, that we did spend most of our time laughing, rather than picking. Having said that, you must have gotten through, because I do see this attribute in all your children! Your zest for life, and your wonderful, positive attitude, is something I use too! As your ‘second daughter’, it was bound to rub of!! Harry, you have returned home now, to everlasting peace. God bless you, and thank you for being my ‘second dad’. Lots of love, Anna XXXXXXXXX
